Club Info

Chartered on December 28th 1994, the club has approximately 20 members. We offer 2 inbound home hosting journeys each year, and each journey is a week of home hosting & 2 weeks outbound journeys. Typical ages are 55 to 75 years, with backgrounds including professionals, farming, business & other. We occasionally join other clubs or invite outside members to join our excursions

Typical Journey

Our programs normally include a welcome reception, day trips to Waterton Park or other nearby attractions, a farm/country beef barbecue, hosted suppers, and a farewell dinner. Our entire membership participates by taking part in receptions and dinners, and there is much opportunity to meet most of our members. Hosts are encouraged to arrange for guest’s special interests, and to choose pertinent activities on optional days.

Area Info

Lethbridge, population 101,482 (2019 census), is located in the southwestern part of Alberta along the Pan American Highway (the major transportation corridor linking Alaska through USA to Mexico, South America & on to Chile). This is an agricultural area which includes ranching, major beef cattle production, grain production, irrigated farming, and related processing industries. It is bordered on the west by the Rocky Mountains, with skiing, lakes, hunting & fishing, abundant wildlife, great scenery, and on the east is the grassland prairie. Lethbridge has a university, a college and a major national Agricultural Research Center.
